Key Responsibilities

  • •Repair and overhaul NAVAID antennas and components, including rotary joint and drive motor troubleshooting and repair.
  • •Assemble and repair electrical, electronic, and mechanical systems, subsystems, and components (including circuit board testing/repair and producing electronic cables and wire harnesses).
  • •Perform equipment performance analyses, fault isolation support, and collect/record/report engineering data in support of logistics and maintenance.
  • •Install and modify equipment and components, including adjustment, testing, and certification processes; install and maintain NAS radomes.
  • •Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance for FAA/interagency systems, including basic troubleshooting and replacement of failed line replaceable units (LRUs) and preparing assets for shipment.
Travel: Extensive travel

Key Requirements

  • •Associate degree in electrical or engineering technology and completion of formal technical training courses for level II.
  • •Successful completion of a physical fitness evaluation with specified weight restrictions (minimum 125 lbs, maximum 290 lbs).
  • •Practical experience in an engineering technician support position, including assisting with engineering documentation/processes and troubleshooting/repairing/assembling/testing/installing electrical and mechanical systems.
  • •Assist in producing, reviewing, revising, and interpreting technical documents and in designing/fabricating/assembling/troubleshooting/repairing electrical, electronic, and mechanical systems, subsystems, and prototypes.
  • •NACI Clearance (ability to obtain Public Trust).
