Key Responsibilities

  • •Architect, implement, and manage WAAP platforms, including web application firewall, API security, bot management, and L3–L7 DDoS protection.
  • •Design and deploy WAAP solutions using Thales Imperva and/or cloud-native WAFs such as Azure and AWS WAF.
  • •Develop and maintain custom WAF rules, security policies, and signatures; perform false-positive tuning and policy optimization with rule lifecycle management.
  • •Enable API discovery, schema enforcement, and runtime protection against OWASP API Top 10 threats and application-layer vulnerabilities (e.g., SQLi, XSS, RCE).
  • •Lead WAAP incident response and root cause analysis for application-layer attacks; define security metrics/KPIs and support compliance (CIS, NIST, Zero Trust, data protection standards).

Key Requirements

  • •8-11 years of experience in network/application-layer security and WAAP-related work.
  • •Strong experience with WAAP platforms (Akamai preferred; cloud WAF or equivalent accepted).
  • •Hands-on ability to create, tune, and manage WAF policies, rules, and signatures, including false-positive tuning and rule lifecycle management.
  • •Expertise in OWASP Top 10 (web and API), including API discovery, schema enforcement, and protection against OWASP API Top 10 threats.
  • •Strong knowledge of network security and infrastructure such as firewalls (Fortinet/Palo Alto/Juniper), IDS/IPS, VPN, and SIEM, plus proxy and hybrid environment security.
