Job Summary

Lead daily operations of a team of FinCrime Operations Analysts/Specialists, ensuring effective mitigation of financial crime risks for Wise’s customers. Drive operational excellence and regulatory compliance with a customer-centric, risk-based approach. Manage performance and quality through KPIs, coaching, reviews, and SMART goals. Serve as an AML/KYC/Fraud/Screening subject matter expert, guide complex escalations, and improve processes and tooling in collaboration with stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

•Develop and oversee daily operations of the FinCrime Operations team to mitigate financial crime risks while meeting performance targets and quality standards.
•Provide people management by coaching and developing analysts/specialists, delivering feedback, and managing performance and development plans.
•Ensure adherence to regulations and internal policies; guide complex, high-risk cases and escalations.
•Measure and manage team and individual KPIs, conduct quality reviews, and run one-on-one coaching and team meetings.
•Share expertise in financial crime areas, apply a risk-based approach, and contribute to process and tooling improvements.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 100,000 - 130,000 annually

Key Requirements

•Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English for clear, professional reporting and customer communications.
•At least 1-2 years leading small to medium sized teams, preferably in operations.
•Good understanding of the regulatory framework surrounding KYC/AML/Fraud/Risk and financial crime prevention.
•Knowledge of money laundering methods and other financial crime trends.
•Strong operational management and tactical decision-making with the ability to work under pressure while maintaining quality.
