Job Summary

Build and maintain routing and control-plane software for an open network operating system, working on routing protocols and programmatic interfaces/APIs. Develop routing and network virtualization capabilities using BGP, EVPN, OSPF, PIM, and Segment Routing, and collaborate with architects, QA, and Support on feature definition, release, and bug fixing. Take ownership of end-to-end feature development and independently deliver with minimal supervision while mentoring other engineers.

Key Responsibilities

•Design, develop, test, and maintain new routing protocol functionality and related control plane software, including programmatic interfaces and APIs for the routing control subsystem.
•Develop routing and network virtualization functionality using BGP, EVPN, OSPF, PIM, and Segment Routing.
•Collaborate with team members, architects, QA, and Support on feature definition, development, release, and bug fixing.

Key Requirements

•BS or MS degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
•4+ years of software development experience across multiple routing protocols including EVPN, BGP, PIM, OSPF, RIFT, or MPLS/SR.
•Strong and proven experience in C programming.
•Strong technical abilities in problem-solving, design, coding, and debugging.
•Lead feature development with end-to-end ownership and independently deliver with minimum supervision; provide mentorship and guidance to other engineers.
