Key Responsibilities

  • •Safely perform manual construction tasks to assist highway, utility, and grade crews or at on-site plant locations.
  • •Assist with prepping work areas, including clearing debris and preparing ground surfaces for paving.
  • •Support asphalt placement by shoveling/raking asphalt behind paver equipment and leveling with rakes.
  • •Dig out buried manhole covers and water valve boxes and maintain tools/equipment by cleaning after each work day.
  • •Help with related labor tasks such as cutting concrete/asphalt with saws and sweeping, and assist with equipment operation if trained.
