Job Function: Field Service, Maintenance & Skilled Trades

Key Responsibilities

  • •Plan and undertake ecology surveys including Extended Phase 1 Habitat and protected species surveys.
  • •Prepare ecological deliverables such as Preliminary Ecological Appraisals, EIAR chapters, and Appropriate Assessments.
  • •Apply the mitigation hierarchy and help design mitigation and compensation measures, including BNG and biodiversity enhancements.
  • •Manage projects and maintain client liaison throughout ecological work.
  • •Consult with regulators and stakeholders and mentor junior team members.

Key Requirements

  • •Appropriate academic qualification and/or experience in a related discipline.
  • •Membership of CIEEM, IEMA or similar.
  • •Experience working in a consultancy (or similar) with a strong understanding of UK and NI wildlife legislation and policy.
  • •Experience across a range of Irish habitats and species.
  • •Experience of Ecological Impact Assessment (including writing EIAR chapters) and Appropriate Assessments.
