Key Responsibilities

  • •Own the technical evolution of data engineering capabilities and ensure incremental delivery that meets outcomes while escalating risks and issues.
  • •Direct and coordinate technical aspects of data engineering work, improving productivity across teams through deep understanding of data engineering.
  • •Maintain high operational data quality and proactively address performance, scale, complexity, and security considerations.
  • •Drive complex technical decisions by setting technical direction and balancing customer and business needs with long-term maintainability and scale.
  • •Lead and mentor data engineers, providing consistent feedback while coordinating with engineering managers and cross-functional partners.

Key Requirements

  • •12+ years of experience in a Data Engineer role as an individual contributor.
  • •At least 2 years of experience as a tech lead for a Data Engineering team.
  • •Proven experience driving and delivering large, complex, multi-person or multi-team data engineering efforts.
  • •Experience building low-latency streaming pipelines using micro-services architecture.
  • •Experience with scalable data pipelines using Spark and scheduling tools such as Airflow, plus AWS data services (Redshift, Athena, EMR) or similar Apache projects (Spark, Flink, Hive, Kafka).
