Key Responsibilities

  • •Serve as the technical owner for a strategic partner relationship, making Fireworks the default inference and fine-tuning layer in partner AI architectures.
  • •Build and deliver end-to-end POCs and MVPs with partner engineering teams, working within their codebases and infrastructure constraints.
  • •Run load tests and tune deployments to meet latency, throughput, and cost targets using realistic customer traffic profiles.
  • •Deploy and validate model families on inference frameworks (vLLM, SGLang) and determine optimal shapes, quantization configs, and serving patterns.
  • •Own the feedback loop from partners to Fireworks engineering, ship technical content (reference architectures, integration guides, benchmark posts), and track pipeline health weekly.

Salary: USD 200,000 - 260,000 annually

Key Requirements

  • •3+ years in a pre-sales, partner engineering, forward-deployed, or technical consulting role.
  • •Demonstrated ability to build production software with customers and ship code in production environments.
  • •Strong Python skills and comfort debugging production code; familiarity with Kubernetes and infrastructure engineering.
  • •Hands-on fluency with LLM inference (latency/throughput tradeoffs, batching, quantization, structured outputs, function calling).
  • •Real experience with fine-tuning (LoRA at minimum; RFT is a plus) and deep familiarity with the Azure AI stack (Azure Foundry, Azure OpenAI Service, Azure ML, AKS, Entra/RBAC).
