Job Summary

Join the Aquila underground coal operation to support autonomous longwall systems and deliver safe, efficient technical and operational plans. Reporting to the Technical Services Superintendent, you’ll develop and break down medium- and short-term mine plans, coordinate PTM processes, liaise with Integrated Planning, and run frequent underground inspections. You’ll track technical performance metrics, manage technical projects as required, and partner with a multidisciplinary team to drive continuous improvement aligned with the annual mine plan.

Key Responsibilities

•Utilise Mine Planned to develop short and medium term mine plans.
•Coordinate the PTM process on site and align mine schedules with the Integrated Planning team.
•Develop operational work instructions, break down medium- and long-term plans into task-based outcomes, and provide updates to operational and engineering teams.
•Manage and coordinate project groups as required, assisting the Superintendent in delivering technical projects within scope and quality standards.
•Conduct frequent underground inspections and collect technical performance metrics from supervisors, reports, and monitoring plans, collaborating cross-functionally to support continuous improvement.

Key Requirements

•Demonstrated experience as a Supervisor / Coordinator or Senior Mining Engineer within a Technical Services team.
•Demonstrated experience working in underground mining, preferably coal.
•Degree qualified in Engineering or a related field.
•Experience with AutoCAD, XPAC/MinePlanner, VentSim, and Microsoft Suite.
•Ability to interpret and apply written plans and schedules with some exposure to mine planning.
