Job Summary

Design, develop, and maintain software components that integrate into Air Traffic Management Systems (ATMS) for safety-critical avionics applications. Build, integrate, test, and validate in a Unix/Linux environment while authoring documentation aligned to software engineering standards. Work in an Agile team with cross-functional partners and external stakeholders to meet program milestones, troubleshooting and implementing solutions using modern development tools and methodologies.

Key Responsibilities

•Design, develop, and maintain software for integration into Air Traffic Management Systems (ATMS) products.
•Perform software development, integration, testing, and validation for safety-critical systems in a Unix/Linux environment.
•Write and maintain technical documentation and work instructions aligned with ATS SED software engineering standards and processes.
•Participate in Agile ceremonies including daily standups, sprint planning, retrospectives, backlog grooming, and story pointing.
•Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams, program management, and external stakeholders to meet project goals and milestones; implement and troubleshoot software solutions.

Key Requirements

•Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and 2 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related field.
•Demonstrated professional experience communicating in English (verbal and written).
•Experience in software development, integration, and testing with a strong foundation in Unix/Linux environments.
•Hands-on experience with programming languages such as Java or C/C++.
•Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker, Podman, Kubernetes) and scripting with Bash and Python.
