Key Responsibilities

  • •Monitor and work an assigned caseload of default-related contested foreclosures and litigation matters.
  • •Manage litigation workflow, including case status updates with outside law firms and in-house legal.
  • •Support in-house and outside counsel by reviewing and performing legal research and assisting with resolution of litigation matters and attorney inquiries.
  • •Represent the bank in court and participate in mediations, settlement conferences, hearings, trials, and required proceedings as a corporate witness.
  • •Minimize delays and exposure by coordinating with internal departments, identifying operational root causes, and escalating significant cases to management and in-house legal.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • •Minimum of 3 years experience in Default Mortgage Loan Servicing and Consumer Loan/Lease servicing.
  • •2 years of related experience as a paralegal, legal analyst, or similar responsibility.
  • •Thorough knowledge of foreclosure and bankruptcy law, consumer loan/lease and mortgage, loan origination, servicing and default processes, and investor/state guidelines.
  • •Strong organizational, communication, and analytical skills with the ability to work independently in varying environments during travel.
