Key Responsibilities

  • •Act as a technical expert for photonics platform qualification and integration, supporting module integration, calibration, and qualification across R&D domains.
  • •Lead module qualification and calibration plans, including performance verification and advanced debug/escalation for modules within expertise.
  • •Own mechanical and opto-mechanical design for specific photonics platform modules/subsystems, creating and maintaining 3D CAD models, 2D drawings, BOMs, and GD&T.
  • •Perform engineering analyses (hand calculations, FEA, thermal analysis, tolerance stack-up) and ensure reliability, simplicity, and manufacturability.
  • •Define and qualify ATP/acceptance test procedures and validation methodologies; support NPI and ramp to mass production with global cross-functional teams.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Optical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Materials Science, or a related field.
  • •6–10+ years of experience in hardware development, photonics systems, opto-mechanical design, or platform engineering.
  • •Proven experience with module/system qualification, calibration, and performance validation.
  • •Strong proficiency with 3D CAD and 2D drafting tools (NX, Creo, SolidWorks or equivalent).
  • •Expertise with mechanical engineering fundamentals and hands-on work supporting manufacturing partners.
