Key Responsibilities

  • •Design, develop, and maintain control software for mining trucks using PLC/ECU-based architectures and CODESYS programming platforms.
  • •Develop and implement machine control functions for powertrain, hydraulic, electrical, and battery-electric vehicle (BEV) systems.
  • •Define functional safety requirements and safety-critical control features and ensure compliance with applicable standards.
  • •Execute SIL/HIL and machine-level validation, including diagnostics, fault handling, condition monitoring, and fail-safe strategies.
  • •Support commissioning, calibration, testing, and troubleshooting for prototype and production machines; lead root-cause analysis and Agile execution.
  • •Integrate controllers, sensors, actuators, HMI systems, and vehicle communication networks (e.g., CAN/J1939) and collaborate cross-functionally to ensure system integration.

Key Requirements

  • •10-12+ years of control systems engineering experience for mining trucks, earthmoving equipment, or industrial automation.
  • •Strong expertise in PLC, ECU, HMI, and SCADA development, integration, and commissioning.
  • •Hands-on experience with CODESYS-based controllers (IFM preferred) and IEC 61131-3 programming languages.
  • •Ability to define and implement functional safety requirements and safety-critical control features in line with industry standards.
  • •Knowledge of SIL/HIL validation, vehicle communication protocols (CAN/CAN FD/J1939/Ethernet/Modbus), and diagnostics/root-cause analysis.
