Key Responsibilities

  • •Act as the Responsible Person (Water) to ensure compliance with HTM 04-01, ACOP L8, HSG274, and contractual requirements.
  • •Lead implementation, management, and continual improvement of the site Water Safety Plan.
  • •Oversee Legionella risk assessments, water sampling programmes, flushing regimes, temperature monitoring, and remedial actions.
  • •Manage specialist contractors to ensure quality, safety, competency, and value for money.
  • •Maintain accurate compliance records, investigate incidents, support audits, and contribute to Water Safety Group meetings.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: GBP 60,000 - 65,000 annually

Key Requirements

  • •Technical qualification in engineering or a related discipline, or significant experience in a water hygiene engineering role.
  • •City and Guilds or BOHS Legionella qualifications (e.g., WH003 Legionella Control for Responsible Persons).
  • •Knowledge of healthcare estates environments and water hygiene legislation, guidance, and best practice.
  • •Experience working with Computer Aided Facilities Management (CAFM) systems and maintaining compliance documentation and technical reports.
  • •Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills to build trust and collaborate across teams.
