Key Responsibilities

  • •Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care according to organizational policies, procedures, and unit scope of service.
  • •Coordinate individualized care from first contact through the episode, including discharge planning and timely referrals using available resources.
  • •Administer medications per policy, monitor patient response, identify side effects, and report ADRs and medication errors.
  • •Respond to emergencies, recognize significant patient condition changes, initiate appropriate action, and report to supervisor/physician as required.
  • •Participate in quality improvement and risk management, support infection control and patient-safety goals, and maintain a clean, safe working environment.

Key Requirements

  • •NLT 2 years clinical experience post-qualification in an appropriate setting (experience requirement waived for graduates of UAE nursing colleges/universities after internship completion).
  • •Provide patient-centered ICU care within the nursing scope of practice and professional code of conduct for Abu Dhabi.
  • •Administer medications according to organizational policies, understand actions/contraindications, monitor response, and act on side effects.
  • •Maintain accurate, compliant nursing documentation and participate in electronic medical records use.
  • •Supervise and mentor junior staff, including practical nurses, junior staff, and student nurses, and act as a preceptor as required.
