Telecommunications Technician

Install, maintain, and repair telecommunication systems in central office environments to keep communication networks running. Provision and maintain subscriber loop carrier systems and services including DSL, POTS, and GPON, along with digital and optical multiplexing equipment. Diagnose defects using switching equipment and test tools, plan work and update maintenance logs, interpret wiring diagrams and work orders, and travel between central office locations as needed.
