Key Responsibilities

  • •Draft, negotiate, review, and interpret commercial agreements, including vendor contracts and other agreements to meet business and legal objectives.
  • •Build and improve contract templates, playbooks, talk tracks, and legal processes to help the business scale.
  • •Develop and deliver trainings on legal issues, contract best practices, and key negotiating points.
  • •Provide practical legal analysis, strategy, and guidance to internal clients and cross-functional teams, balancing business objectives with legal risk.
  • •Manage assigned legal projects through completion and assist with other legal matters including legal research, strategic transactions, and legal escalations.

Key Requirements

  • •Minimum 3-5 years of legal experience in a law firm or in-house with experience in commercial contracts, plus membership to at least one state bar.
  • •Strong drafting skills from forms and from scratch, with solid understanding of contract provisions including confidentiality, indemnity, termination, and representations.
  • •Excellent ability to negotiate with third parties in non-confrontational and potentially adversarial scenarios.
  • •Ability to communicate legal implications to internal clients and balance legal risk with business objectives, escalating when appropriate.
  • •Strong written and verbal communication skills, including clear, concise writing across all levels and with third parties.
