Key Responsibilities

  • •Produce end-to-end solution designs for new features, market onboardings, and platform changes, including integration patterns between RTP microservices, scheme adapters, and external systems.
  • •Translate business and scheme requirements into detailed user story specifications for engineering consumption; validate solutions against NFR targets and platform constraints.
  • •Act as a techno-functional bridge between Product, Business, and Engineering; participate in scheme interpretation workshops and produce platform impact assessments.
  • •Conduct functional impact assessments for change requests, identifying affected services, data flows, and downstream dependencies; review solution artefacts for correctness and standards alignment.
  • •Support test scenario definition and readiness activities, including functional expertise during UAT/SIT, defect triage from a business logic perspective, and market go-live readiness documentation.

Key Requirements

  • •Deep understanding of RTP/IP scheme rules, clearing, settlement, and scheme connectivity (e.g., SWIFT, SEPA Inst, FPS, UAEFTS).
  • •Ability to interpret, map, and design around ISO 20022 messaging (pacs.008, pacs.002, camt) with field-level semantics.
  • •End-to-end knowledge of the payment lifecycle including origination, routing, validation, processing, settlement, reconciliation, and exception handling.
  • •Experience supporting or leading market/corridor onboarding from a functional and solution perspective.
  • •Ability to design service boundaries, APIs, and integration patterns across microservices, including defining and validating NFRs (latency, throughput, availability, scalability, resilience).
