Job Summary

Design, analyze, validate, test, and support digital and analog electronics for defense Vision Systems subsystems. Lead electronics interface and FPGA-based circuit design, including DAC/ADC, DDR3/4/5, and Ethernet (copper/optical), plus power conversion circuitry. Generate schematics, select parts, verify layouts with ECAD and SI/PI tools, and support lab development, manufacturing, and system integration testing while collaborating with suppliers and programs.

Key Responsibilities

•Perform advanced digital interface and FPGA-based circuit design for high-speed, mixed-signal electronics.
•Provide program-level design support, including potential REA oversight and support for bidding/proposals.
•Generate schematics, perform component parts selection, and create component specification documentation.
•Develop and verify circuit card layouts using ECAD tools and supporting layout verification tools.
•Support on-site laboratory development, manufacturing support, and system integration test activities, including acceptance test procedure generation.

Key Requirements

•Typically requires a STEM degree and at least 5 years of prior relevant experience, or an advanced degree with at least 3 years’ experience.
•Experience leading program development for commercial, defense, and/or space industries to complete designs on schedule and within budget.
•Experience with FPGA-based digital and mixed-signal interface circuit design, including timing analysis methods.
•Experience with power conversion designs for airborne/space applications (DCDC/ACDC) with verification testing for designs up to 100 watts.
•Experience with circuit development and analysis tools (e.g., SPICE, Matlab, ADS) and electronic products testing (e.g., oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, logic analyzers).
