Key Responsibilities

  • •Operate heavy trucks, tractor-trailers, and flatbeds to transport vehicles, equipment, and Class IX materiel for local and long-haul missions.
  • •Support equipment turn-in operations by hauling assets from Army units to the site or designated locations.
  • •Assist with loading, securing, and unloading cargo using chains, binders, straps, and blocking/bracing.
  • •Perform Preventive Maintenance Checks and Services (PMCS) and report deficiencies for repairs per Army and company maintenance procedures.
  • •Complete shipping/transport documentation and maintain driver logs, trip tickets, fuel records, and inspection sheets while ensuring DOT and Army compliance.

Key Requirements

  • •Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL Class A or B as required).
  • •3–5 years of heavy truck driving experience; prior Army or contractor logistics experience preferred.
  • •Ability to operate heavy trucks, tractor-trailers, and material handling equipment (MHE) safely.
  • •Familiarity with DOT/FMCSA and Army transportation regulations and requirements (e.g., AR 55-355, AR 710-2, DTR 4500.9-R).
  • •Must be able to obtain and maintain a Common Access Card (CAC) and obtain Tier1/NACI (Public trust) background eligibility.
