Job Summary

Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and test electronic and technical physical security systems for federal customers at electrical substation facilities. You’ll work as an electronics technician on projects supporting WAPA, reading schematics and blueprints, wiring systems to DoD/DoS requirements, and using test equipment for commissioning. This is a high-travel “road warrior” role supporting sites across multiple western states while working independently or with a small team.

Key Responsibilities

•Serve as an electronics technician on assigned projects, working independently or with a small team.
•Support federal agencies by migrating, upgrading, and installing physical security infrastructure at electrical substation facilities.
•Install electronic and technical security systems to DoD/DoS guidelines and requirements.
•Read, interpret, and draw electrical/electronic/electro-mechanical schematics and interpret building construction plans (blueprints).
•Perform maintenance, installation, troubleshooting, and testing of security wiring and power circuits using test equipment.

Travel: Extensive travel

Key Requirements

•US citizenship required; must be able to obtain and maintain a customer clearance.
•2 years of hands-on experience installing, configuring, troubleshooting, and servicing IDS and PACS, plus IP video surveillance and other security systems.
•Current and valid Driver’s License; company vehicles may be required.
•Experience as a technician installing electronics/electrical security systems (including intrusion detection, access control, CCTV/security cameras, intercom, and low-voltage systems).
•High school diploma or equivalent, or military electronic/communications technician training (or 5+ years technical experience installing electronics/electrical systems).
