Key Responsibilities

  • •Create a team environment centered on safety and quality and plan/direct department activities for safe, efficient operations.
  • •Lead, motivate, and train production personnel, including communicating accurately between day shift and the swing/graveyard shift to avoid production lag.
  • •Monitor processes and tasks to identify problems and improvement opportunities, and identify/plan/lead improvement events.
  • •Interpret and enforce internal policies and labor agreement provisions while maintaining production schedules and meeting strict internal/external customer requirements.
  • •Apply task standardization processes, write/update work practice documents, establish production management systems, and coordinate training to ensure work instructions are completed as required.
