Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform scheduled preventative maintenance, DOT inspections, and follow-up repairs for light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles in a mobile/field environment.
  • •Diagnose, adjust, and repair vehicle systems including electrical/brake/cooling, starters/alternators, engine electronics, diesel steering, engines, transmissions, clutches, and differentials.
  • •Inspect, test, and listen to defective equipment; use test instruments to diagnose malfunctions and road test vehicles to verify proper operation.
  • •Independently manage parts inventory and equipment on the company-issued service truck, including periodic reconciliation.
  • •Complete DOT forms and document work using company standards, including uploading photos via Repair Orders in the TRAIT application on a company-issued iOS device.

Key Requirements

  • •High School Diploma/GED and 3 years of related experience (or an equivalent combination such as additional certifications/degree or 5 years experience).
  • •Possess and supply a set of hand tools necessary to perform required job duties.
  • •Obtain ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months (or hold it).
  • •Pass DOT-regulated pre-employment background screening and DOT physical (or submit a valid DOT medical card with >4 months remaining).
  • •Must be at least 21 years old and have a valid driver’s license with ability to obtain/maintain a Driver Qualification File.
