Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform detailed quantity take-offs and summaries for site work scopes including grading, storm drain, and utilities.
  • •Prepare full-service cost estimates using in-house and historical cost data.
  • •Solicit material and subcontractor quotes for bids.
  • •Review bid packages (specifications, plans, CAD files, geotechnical report) and analyze construction risk via plan interpretation and site visits.
  • •Independently estimate large projects and prepare rough estimate schedules and bid hand-off packages to field personnel.

Key Requirements

  • •Minimum 3-5 years of proven experience as a Construction Estimator.
  • •Experience estimating large civil site development for both residential and commercial markets.
  • •Experience with roadway construction and working with DOT/municipalities.
  • •Experience estimating underground utilities (water, sewer, storm).
  • •Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word) and take-off/estimating software (Agtek preferred; HCSS Heavybid preferred).
