Prepare detailed quantity take-offs and full-service cost estimates for civil site work, including grading, storm drain, and utilities. Gather and analyze in-house and historical cost data, solicit material and subcontractor quotes, and review bid packages using plans/specs/CAD and geotechnical reports. Assess construction risk via site visits and interpret scopes, then build rough estimates and schedules. Support awarded projects with a detailed hand-off package to field personnel.

Key Responsibilities

•Perform detailed quantity take-offs and summaries for site work scopes including grading, storm drain, and utilities.
•Prepare full-service cost estimates using in-house and historical cost data.
•Solicit material and subcontractor quotes for bids.
•Review bid packages (specifications, plans, CAD files, geotechnical report) and analyze construction risk via plan interpretation and site visits.
•Independently estimate large projects and prepare rough estimate schedules and bid hand-off packages to field personnel.

Key Requirements

•Minimum 3-5 years of proven experience as a Construction Estimator.
•Experience estimating large civil site development for both residential and commercial markets.
•Experience with roadway construction and working with DOT/municipalities.
•Experience estimating underground utilities (water, sewer, storm).
•Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word) and take-off/estimating software (Agtek preferred; HCSS Heavybid preferred).
