Job Summary

Operate and support the Gravure Press in multiple press-room tasks, including pallet loading, product labeling, job setup/breakdown, quality checks, sample pulls, and downtime cleaning. Perform doctor blade and ink/solvent/varnish related prep and maintenance, assist with roll stand and make-ready activities, and ensure proper hazardous materials handling and PPE compliance. When applicable, drive forklifts for safe material movement and recycling logistics while completing required inspection and documentation.

Key Responsibilities

•Receive product from press, stack and place on pallets; print pallet labels using job docket information and ensure correct loading for material handling.
•Review completed jobs for quality and accuracy; communicate problems/errors to operators and ensure finished product is error-free and correctly printed.
•Perform downtime duties including webbing the press, assisting operators, cleaning press areas, and maintaining safe work conditions.
•Carry out make-ready and roll stand tasks such as purging stacks/tables, changing impression rollers/stacker components, setting up doctor blades, and adjusting cylinders/pumps/inks/solvents/varnish.
•If applicable, operate forklifts for safe movement and loading/unloading; maintain lift equipment procedures and complete daily inspection paperwork and required documentation.

Key Requirements

•High school diploma (or GED) and one to three years related production experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
•Very good mechanical and physical ability to perform press-related tasks safely.
•Lift truck operators must have and maintain safety training for operation of company equipment.
•Ability to lift up to 60 lbs and perform repetitive functions, including standing, stooping, bending, reaching, and climbing as needed.
•Ability to rotate shifts and work in excess of 8 hours per day and/or 40 hours per week when necessary to meet production needs.
