Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

  • •Requirements Management: Promote the adoption of requirement management practices and support project teams in integrating best practices into their work processes. Contribute to the creation of design requirements and identify missing requirements essential for project success. Ensure JDM correctly interprets and implements requirements throughout development phases.
  • •Planning and reporting: Identify dependencies, risks and mitigation strategies with Dyson internal teams and JDM. Assess, plan and align activities to achieve design and project goals. Monitor and report progress to stakeholders. Manage scope changes with justified resource/schedule adjustments.
  • •Design management: Oversee development of mechanical design solutions by JDM teams, including integration of electrical parts. Drive efficient design reviews and issue management to ensure solutions follow robust engineering principles and Dyson quality standards, delivered in a timely and cost-effective manner.
  • •Build evaluation: Evaluate build processes to confirm effectiveness and efficiency in achieving design and project goals. Assess build outputs against requirements to ensure standards are met.
  • •Test evaluation: Provide technical guidance in test planning and development of test methods. Drive execution and reporting of testing activities with properly documented results.

Key Requirements

  • •A degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, Mechatronics Engineering, or equivalent.
  • •Strong knowledge of Systems Engineering, Requirements Management, and Risk Management in product development.
  • •Practical knowledge of 3D CAD, PLM systems, and analysis packages.
  • •Proven leadership with experience collaborating with JDM partners to deliver robust design solutions on time and within quality standards.
  • •Excellent communication skills in English and Chinese (written and verbal).
