Key Responsibilities

  • •Oversee the day-to-day processes of the CSSD department to ensure efficient operations.
  • •Manage the resources in the CSSD to support theatre and hospital needs.
  • •Identify, address, and report departmental risks and implement mitigation measures.
  • •Ensure compliance with infection prevention and control protocols and medico-legal requirements.
  • •Maintain inventory and stock control, and ensure accurate record-keeping and reporting.

Key Requirements

  • •Diploma or Degree in Nursing or Diploma in Operating Department Assistance
  • •3-Years’ post qualification experience, of which 2 years must be in a Theatre environment
  • •Level 2/3/4 Hospital qualifications with relevant Post Graduate Certification or Health Services Management qualification (as applicable)
  • •Knowledge of infection prevention and control, reprocessing of reusable medical devices, medico-legal risks, stock control, inventory management, and accreditation standards
  • •Computer literacy (Microsoft Office) and ability to manage departmental risks and reporting
