Key Responsibilities

  • •Drive planning, validation, and debug of hardware IP for forthcoming AMD APU, CPU, Compute, and Discrete Graphics SoC programs.
  • •Ensure SOC alignment across HW (silicon), FW, BIOS, and SW to enable features and optimize performance and power.
  • •Define, document, execute, and report functional test plans and end-to-end validation strategy for a set of AMD IPs.
  • •Collaborate cross-functionally with IP/domain architects to assess technical issues/risks and develop architectural solutions.
  • •Lead shift-left activities with cross-functional teams (DV, diagnostics, emulation, and modeling frameworks) to enable first-silicon readiness and critical-feature debug.

Key Requirements

  • •Strong foundation in Systems & SoC architecture with expertise in one or more areas such as CPU/GPU, memory subsystem, fabrics, high-speed I/O, clocks/resets, virtualization, or security.
  • •Experience in digital logic design/verification and post-silicon validation.
  • •Extensive knowledge of ASIC debug techniques and methodologies, including pre-silicon, bring-up, system validation, and production debug.
  • •Strong scripting skills (e.g., Ruby, Python) and experience enhancing validation tools/automation.
  • •Bachelor’s or Master’s degree majoring in EE, CS, or related field.
