Key Responsibilities

  • •Deliver customer deployments hands-on across industrial R&D, writing production code, designing architectures, building integrations, and debugging issues.
  • •Drive customer adoption so CurieOS becomes the day-to-day workflow for scientists and engineers.
  • •Own deployment technical quality from prototype to production, including reliability, maintainability, and operational performance.
  • •Design and build systems connecting heterogeneous software, data, and physical infrastructure (e.g., simulation campaigns, lab instruments, test rigs, CAD/PLM systems).
  • •Build and lead the Forward Deployed Engineering team by hiring, developing, setting engineering practices, and codifying reusable architectures and playbooks.

Key Requirements

  • •Significant experience in enterprise software technical delivery or forward deployed engineering, including leading complex deployments and writing production code alongside customers.
  • •Experience building a forward deployed engineering or solutions function—hiring the team, setting standards, and defining the delivery model.
  • •Ability to move between R&D strategy conversations and hands-on debugging with engineers.
  • •Track record of succeeding in ambiguous, fast-moving environments where requirements evolve through iteration with users.
  • •Strong software engineering fundamentals, with technical judgement respected by the engineers you lead.
