Key Responsibilities

  • •Assist Project Manager and/or Engineering Manager with management of engineering team performance across project activities, including coordinating multidisciplinary engineering inputs and deliverables.
  • •Review discipline lead outputs for technical specifications, designs, drawings, and documents, ensuring engineering and design quality and compliance with the Design Basis.
  • •Plan and manage individual work activities, liaise with disciplines for timely comment receipt, and deliver against project engineering manhour budget and schedule requirements.
  • •Coordinate management of change, monitor transmittals and documentation reviews for compliance, and provide progress updates and technical input for scope clarification.
  • •Coordinate multidisciplinary procurement package creation and engineering–procurement/estimating interfaces (material take-offs, inclusions/exclusions), support schedule look-ahead/work lists, and coordinate with construction as needed (including RFIs).

Key Requirements

  • •Registration as a P.Eng. with a minimum of 7 years of broad experience in Oil, Gas & Chemicals projects or EPCM consulting projects.
  • •Experience with engineering design progression, procurement package development, contract development, scope of work writing, EWP definition, quantity management, change control, and scheduling/planning.
  • •Demonstrated knowledge of engineering quality management and engineering principles across multidisciplinary projects.
  • •Experience coordinating engineering deliverables, procurement activities, and project schedules.
  • •Authorization to lawfully work in Canada without sponsorship from Wood now or in the future.
