Key Responsibilities

  • •Serve as statistical expert for development programs, partnering with Technical, Operations, and Process Engineering teams on experiment design, modeling, and analysis.
  • •Conduct systematic research review and meta-analysis to standardize and weight prior research, building predictive models to guide program experimentation.
  • •Perform data science and statistical subject matter expertise: define data structures, apply advanced techniques (e.g., ANOVA, t-tests, factor analysis, regression), and improve cross-experiment analytics practices.
  • •Develop and execute custom experiment design, evaluate experiment results and model performance, and prepare datasets for modeling.
  • •Provide guidance, training, and peer review to less experienced R&D staff on analytics methods, scripting opportunities, and advanced data science concepts.

Salary: USD 91,200 - 130,000 annually

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree (Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Data Science, or similar) with 5 years relevant technical experience, or 2 years as an Engineer-Analytics R&D at First Solar.
  • •Master’s degree in a related discipline with 3 years relevant technical experience, or 2 years as an Engineer-Analytics R&D at First Solar.
  • •Ph.D. in a related discipline without prior technical work experience.
  • •Deep understanding of Design of Experiments and extensive knowledge of probability and inferential statistics.
  • •Expertise building predictive models and advanced statistical analyses using tools such as JMP, SAS, Python, SPSS, or R.
