Key Responsibilities

  • •Build and grow the team by hiring and developing engineers practicing agentic development, and cultivate a culture treating it as an open problem.
  • •Set the technical direction for validating agent-built software and keep the team focused on the highest-impact version of the problem.
  • •Earn adoption by building relationships with engineering teams across GitLab and creating a platform that makes them faster and more confident.
  • •Measure engineer adoption and trust via real usage, use findings to prioritize where confidence breaks down, and treat adopters as design partners.
  • •Stay close to technical work by engaging in architecture/design discussions, reviewing proposals, and running performance management and ownership of complex work.
