Key Responsibilities

  • •Set the technical direction for the menu personalization ML systems and own the end-to-end stack (feature pipelines, training workflows, model serving, experimentation tooling, infrastructure).
  • •Partner with Data Scientists to take experiments to reliable production services meeting latency, scalability, and observability requirements.
  • •Shape the personalization roadmap with Product and engineering leadership, supporting decisions with data and user evidence.
  • •Operate and continuously improve production systems by instrumenting, learning, and iterating as the feedback loop evolves.
  • •Raise the technical bar through architecture reviews, mentorship, and production ML craft standards adopted by other teams.

Key Requirements

  • •8+ years building and operating production machine learning systems, with a track record of technical leadership at scale.
  • •Proven architectural decision-making that held up over multiple years and influenced teams beyond your own.
  • •Strong production experience with recommender systems or large-scale personalization.
  • •Fluency across the data/ML and backend/platform stack, including Python, Spark, Go, Kafka, and Kubernetes, with hands-on work in pipelines, model serving, and observability.
  • •Statistical and operational judgment to design honest experiments, diagnose issues under real load, and ship systems you can debug.
