Job Summary

Deliver quality customer service at the branch by handling routine over-the-counter transactions, processing deposits and withdrawals, and assisting clients with account services and inquiries. Maintain daily vault operations including opening, balancing, and closing the vault, safeguarding access, and supporting safe-deposit duties. Cross-sell bank products, process payments and card/applications, address service issues, and follow compliance requirements while supporting branch clerical tasks as needed.

Key Responsibilities

•Process over-the-counter transactions including deposits, check cashing, withdrawals, and issuing official and temporary checks while ensuring accuracy and required identification/endorsements
•Maintain daily vault operations by opening, balancing, and closing the vault, counting and balancing cash/coin/check totals, recording and reconciling discrepancies, and controlling access for safe-deposit duties
•Assist clients with account services such as opening, maintaining, and closing account types; collecting installment/loan payments; and assisting with transactions and account activity via computer systems
•Cross-sell bank products and services, refer clients to appropriate personnel, and handle routine requests such as stop payments and hold orders
•Perform compliance-focused work by following federal and state consumer compliance laws, identifying and reporting suspicious activity or potential security threats, and supporting branch clerical duties as needed

Key Requirements

•High school diploma or equivalent
•Two (2) years of banking experience in a Teller role
•Ability to accurately count and handle cash
•Knowledge of basic accounting with experience reviewing numerical information and balancing
•Experience using Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
