Key Responsibilities

  • •Inspect, maintain, repair, and construct Transmission Overhead Line network works in line with policy and standards.
  • •Ensure compliance with ESQC Regulations and internal inspection policies and procedures.
  • •Undertake programmed, post-fault, and fault work to agreed productivity levels, including stand-by duties.
  • •Provide accurate data capture for inspections, as-built records, and time sheets; identify issues requiring immediate attention and hand over for resolution.
  • •Ensure all site works are carried out safely, including supervision of contractors, and support line manager job planning and pre-vetting.

Key Requirements

  • •Demonstrate experience and technical competence in Transmission Operation and Maintenance activities.
  • •Hold evidence of Scottish Power, National Grid, or other REC system authorisations for overhead line work.
  • •Proven track record in slinging, rigging, and overhead line (OHL) repairs and maintenance.
  • •Hold a full valid drivers licence and a Site Management Safety Training / Safety Passport.
  • •Ability to work at height up to 400ft and demonstrate safe working practices.
