Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform independent validation of Transaction Monitoring, Customer Risk Assessment, Screening, and AI models (Claude/ChatGPT), including reviewing documentation, data quality, accuracy, access, and testing methodologies.
  • •Assess model performance, accuracy, stability, and potential bias; evaluate model risk for AML/CFT purposes.
  • •Ensure Transaction Monitoring and Customer Risk Assessment models comply with AML/CFT regulations and guidance (e.g., EU AML/CFT directives, US BSA/AML, FATF).
  • •Conduct risk assessments to identify AML/CFT risks tied to model outputs, including higher-risk customer segments, products, and geographies, and evaluate control effectiveness.
  • •Develop and implement procedures for ongoing model monitoring and maintenance, including annual reporting/certification, regular reviews, and clear model validation and risk reporting documentation.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field such as mathematics, statistics, computer science, or engineering.
  • •3+ years of experience in model validation, risk management, or a related field, preferably in AML/CFT.
  • •Strong understanding of machine learning and statistical modeling techniques.
  • •Deep understanding of fiat and crypto payment flows.
  • •Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, and SQL; experience using data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI.
