Key Responsibilities

  • •Act as primary technical interface for customer issues involving Linux drivers, BSPs, kernel integration, platform enablement, and system software behavior.
  • •Own customer technical engagements end-to-end: issue intake, triage, reproduction, debug, engineering escalation, fix validation, and closure.
  • •Translate customer symptoms into clear problem statements and conduct Linux kernel/driver/BSP analysis, including investigating interactions across firmware, BIOS, silicon, hardware interfaces, and OS components.
  • •Lead structured triage: define reproduction strategy, coordinate data collection/debug, prioritize and track issues, and maintain clear technical communication throughout.
  • •Support platform bring-up across prototype/validation/qualification/production phases, including Linux BSP enablement, driver configuration, kernel boot, device enumeration, peripheral validation, and production readiness reviews.

Key Requirements

  • •8+ years of experience in Linux driver development, embedded Linux, system software, customer application engineering, platform engineering, firmware/BIOS interaction debug, or related roles.
  • •Hands-on experience developing, debugging, or enabling Linux device drivers on x86 or embedded platforms.
  • •Strong knowledge of Linux kernel internals and configuration, driver model, and concepts such as device tree/ACPI, interrupt handling, DMA, memory mapping, and device enumeration.
  • •Experience debugging Linux platform issues across subsystems like PCIe, USB, networking, storage, graphics/display, power management, thermal, and other peripherals.
  • •Strong programming and automation skills in C and scripting with Python, shell scripting, or similar tools; familiarity with Linux distributions, embedded Linux, Yocto, kernel build flows, bootloaders, and BSP integration.
