Key Responsibilities

  • •Partner with responsible and thermal/server mechanical teams to define commodity strategy, multi-year roadmaps, and approved vendor lists for server mechanics and cooling components.
  • •Own global sourcing end-to-end, including supplier selection/qualification, dual/multi-sourcing on constrained thermal SKUs, capacity reservation, and lead-time compression to support cluster delivery cadence.
  • •Define and negotiate transformative SOWs and commercial agreements, driving value engineering and aggressive pricing while protecting thermal resistance, leak, and reliability requirements.
  • •Act as the supplier interface for RFIs/RFPs/RFQs and assess factory capabilities and capacity before awarding NPI and production contracts.
  • •Standardize and automate NPI-to-mass-production processes, establish KPIs for cost, quality, speed, and thermal/leak yield, and run executive business reviews with the supply base.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree plus 6+ years in areas such as business, manufacturing, supply chain, or engineering, or 9+ years in lieu of a degree.
  • •4+ years of experience in global supply chain, commodity management, or mechanical/thermal sourcing focused on server chassis, cold plates, TIM, fans, or node-level liquid cooling.
  • •Deep technical understanding of server mechanicals and component-level cooling (cold plates, heat sinks, vapor chambers, TIM, fans, liquid loops, dripless QDs).
  • •Proven experience sourcing server mechanical or thermal commodities at hyperscale, server ODMs, or cooling-component suppliers.
  • •Experience reading technical drawings/data sheets/BOMs and negotiating complex SOWs while delivering results in ambiguous, high-velocity environments.
