Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead payments projects end-to-end: discovery with Product and PayOps, integration design with PSPs, build, rollout, monitoring, and incident response.
  • •Partner with Product to understand organizer/traveler challenges and build payment solutions that reliably process transactions.
  • •Own and improve the reliability of the payments system.
  • •Contribute to engineering practices and excellence at WeTravel.
  • •Architect and implement multi-currency support and card issuing capabilities across geographies.

Key Requirements

  • •7+ years of product engineering experience with 4+ years dedicated to architecting complex payments systems.
  • •Proven track record within a PSP, acquirer, gateway, or high-scale platform payments team.
  • •Strong backend mastery in Ruby on Rails, Kotlin, Python, Go, Java, or Node.js with ability to ramp up on Ruby quickly.
  • •Deep expertise in architecting robust, distributed systems including double-entry ledgers, automated reconciliation pipelines, money movement state machines, idempotency and event-driven architectures.
  • •Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with experience working across distributed, multicultural teams.
