Key Responsibilities

  • •Design, plan, and implement applied analytics to generate robust evidence for malaria and/or NTD decisions, guidance, and strategies.
  • •Implement data management and analytical processes for the Annual World Malaria Report, focusing on burden of disease estimation and household survey analysis.
  • •Review and update analytical methodologies, especially approaches for estimating malaria burden of disease.
  • •Prepare analytical outputs for internal and external review and incorporate feedback to support publication of reports.
  • •Contribute to guidance development for using malaria and NTD data for operations, policies, progress reviews, and impact evaluations; support stratification and intervention-mix analysis.

Key Requirements

  • •A first university degree in Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Mathematics, Computer Science or a related field.
  • •At least 5 years of professional experience working in malaria-endemic countries, including work with national malaria/NTD programmes.
  • •Proven experience with survey and routine/programmatic data collection, management, analysis, and use in malaria and/or NTDs.
  • •Demonstrated exposure at the international level and experience using electronic surveillance platforms (e.g., DHIS2), data collection tools (e.g., ODK), and/or data visualization (e.g., Tableau).
  • •Expert knowledge of statistical and geospatial analysis tools (e.g., R, SAS, Stata, Python, ArcGIS) and epidemiology/biostatistics, with strong analytical and writing/presentation skills.
