Key Responsibilities

  • •Manage and direct Air Traffic Control Officers (ATCOs) training requirements and ensure all training is delivered according to GCAA rules and regulations.
  • •Design, develop, implement, administer, and manage training programmes and courses for ATCOs, ATCAs, and other ATS personnel.
  • •Maintain and continuously update the Training and Competency Manual (TCM) and ensure competency checks and other training are tracked for operational needs.
  • •Select and oversee On-the-Job Training Instructors (OJTIs) and Local Competency Examiners (LCEs), ensuring assessment and performance monitoring meet GCAA requirements.
  • •Conduct Assessment of Professional Competence (APC) evaluations, ensure Emergency Continuation Training is completed on time, and support training onboarding and briefing for newly appointed ATCOs.

Key Requirements

  • •Manage ANS standards and On-the-Job Training (OJT) programmes in compliance with applicable GCAA, Serco, and DCA Sharjah rules and regulations.
  • •Hold and maintain required operational credentials where validated, including an ATC Licence, Certificate of Competency (CoC), and (where validated) a Class III Medical Certificate.
  • •Comprehensive knowledge of CARs and ICAO rules and regulations for Air Traffic Services (ATS).
  • •Minimum 10 years of experience in operational aviation and aviation training roles.
  • •Expertise in training design, development, delivery, and evaluation, including competency assessment and training solutions for performance gaps.
