Key Responsibilities

  • •Design, develop, and test power electronics-based circuit protection and power conversion mechanical systems for low- and medium-voltage AC/DC applications.
  • •Lead technology projects supporting teams and external resources to advance mechanical design and packaging and identify commercialization opportunities.
  • •Identify, analyze, develop, and validate advanced electromechanical actuation, motion control, and mechanical system technologies.
  • •Initiate and lead global technology programs through Business/Technology/Project Reviews and participate in technology strategy discussions.
  • •Create project plans, manage budgets and resources, manage stakeholder relationships, and lead partner projects with national labs and universities.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • •Minimum 7 years of electromechanical design experience, including mechanical actuation and electrical equipment enclosure/packaging design and prototype testing.
  • •Experience designing, building, testing, evaluating, and iterating prototyped mechanical systems and electro-mechanical devices in lab environments.
  • •Knowledge of electromechanical energy conversion and power electronic module packaging/integration for indoor/outdoor and harsh environments.
