Job Summary

Own performance and availability engineering for a high-throughput, multi-tier fraud and identity validation platform. Partner with solution architects and software engineers to assess platform needs, design and run performance tests, troubleshoot issues, identify risks, and implement recommendations. Build an engineering practice that brings performance engineering earlier in the delivery lifecycle, ensuring capacity and availability exceed requirements and support business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

•Drive performance and availability engineering for the platform.
•Build an engineering practice focused on earlier performance engineering in the delivery lifecycle.
•Partner with solution architects and software engineers to assess needs and design new capabilities.
•Design and run performance tests, troubleshoot problems, and identify risks.
•Ensure proactive identification of performance/availability challenges and implement recommendations to exceed capacity and availability requirements.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
•Intermediate to advanced knowledge of application architecture and high performance, highly scalable transaction processing systems.
•Experience solving complex performance and availability problems in real systems.
•Wide technical breadth including Java and gRPC.
•Experience with performance and monitoring tools (e.g., LoadRunner, JMeter, Gatling, Dynatrace, profilers, Splunk) plus Linux, Oracle/PostgreSQL, Kafka, Kubernetes, and AWS.
