Key Responsibilities

  • •Pull eggs from setters, run through the clear egg remover, pull rots, and place eggs into the correct hatchers ensuring proper vaccination.
  • •Participate in hatchery quality control, animal welfare, biosecurity, and safety programs.
  • •Set up and clean process areas (halls and setters) and stay until all hatchery team duties are complete to verify quality.
  • •Maintain detailed documentation for transfer/processing, including vaccine tracking and egg placement records.
  • •Monitor machines/automation and equipment for proper operation, take action when indicated, and adjust or notify supervisors/maintenance when performance is deficient.

Key Requirements

  • •Ability to work the scheduled shift (including possible nights/days, holidays, and weekends).
  • •Ability to work in 100+ degree environments for long periods and tolerate unpleasant smells.
  • •Ability to lift/push/pull 50 lbs. or more repeatedly and perform continuous standing, walking, and frequent bending/squatting.
  • •Training as provided by automation/incubation vendors and internal trainers/management.
  • •Demonstrated ability to read, write, and speak English (preferred) and ability to work with minimal supervision.
