Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide personal financial counseling and management services directly to service members and their families.
  • •Assist service members with creating spending plans for extended absences.
  • •Develop and provide informational financial materials to service members and families.
  • •Coordinate, publicize, and deliver Personal Financial Management classes and workshops aligned to the military lifecycle, including pre- and post-deployment topics.
  • •Use virtual counseling and electronic communication modes when authorized; manage duty to warn situations and maintain communication with leadership through individual and group supervision.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 58,440 - 93,500 annually

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor's degree required, or an associate degree plus 4 years’ experience in lieu of a bachelor’s degree, or a high school diploma plus 6 years’ experience.
  • •3+ years of financial counseling experience.
  • •Must be a U.S. citizen and speak fluent English; bilingual English and Spanish if required by the contract.
  • •Obtain a favorably adjudicated Tier 2 investigation and pass the organizational conflicts of interest (OCI) process.
  • •Hold an approved certification: AFC, CFP, or ChFC.
