Key Responsibilities

  • •Manage and execute translations into Traditional Chinese (and Simplified Chinese when required) for HSBC financial and regulatory documents, including annual/interim/earnings and Pillar 3 materials.
  • •Translate and coordinate shareholder announcement content, including AGM notice, meeting scripts, and executive/board changes, plus other ad-hoc Group requests.
  • •Produce Chinese-language regulatory and shareholder materials in line with Compliance and information risk requirements, aiming for zero-fault performance.
  • •Oversee external vendors (up to 12 third parties) and guide freelancers to deliver accurate work aligned to HSBC requirements and regulatory timelines.
  • •Provide signing-off for Chinese translations of regulatory documents on stakeholders’ behalf and support internal translation/vetting needs for sensitive materials.

Key Requirements

  • •Significant experience translating corporate and financial communications from English into Traditional Chinese.
  • •Fluent English with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • •Exceptional translation quality with the ability to handle complex financial and regulatory content.
  • •Strong attention to detail and accountability for accuracy, including signing off Chinese translations of regulatory documents.
  • •Ability to work under fixed deadlines with time pressure while managing multiple concurrent priorities and stakeholders.
