Job Summary

Support the Civil/Structural team on electrical substation projects by assisting with planning, analysis, and structural design work for load-bearing steel structures, bus supports, and foundations. Collect and analyze site data (surveys, blueprints, GIS, geotechnical information), perform research and inspections, and help develop modeling/design requirements. Produce accurate technical reports and documentation while coordinating with engineers, project managers, and cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

•Assist with collecting, compiling, and analyzing site data (surveys, blueprints, GIS data, geotechnical information) for project development, design, and construction.
•Perform basic structural engineering research and inspections to assess site conditions and conformance with rules, standards, and permits.
•Assist in developing modeling techniques, design requirements, and operating strategies to support safety and functionality.
•Verify structural soundness under loads and pressures from environmental or human influence and provide technical assistance.
•Write technical reports and documentation using calculations, electronic systems, spreadsheets, software, and 2D/3D illustrations.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s Degree in Structural or Civil Engineering, or closely related discipline.
•1 to 3 years of relevant post-education experience.
•Knowledge of structural engineering principles, practices, and design/build processes for project work.
•Familiarity with infrastructure planning, design, and construction management, including rehabilitation and new design.
•Familiarity with structural/civil construction laws, codes, regulations, compliance practices, and record-keeping requirements.
