Key Responsibilities

•Recognize, analyze, and resolve complex anomalies on the electric distribution system using information from electronic systems, operating manuals, customer calls, and field workers.
•Exercise jurisdictional/functional authority and issue and monitor Workmen's Protection Assurance for the electric distribution system.
•Dispatch and direct field personnel during electric distribution system emergencies and supervise field activities to ensure safe, efficient, reliable operations.
•Coordinate maintenance and restoration activities for subtransmission and distribution systems, including writing and dispatching switching orders and maintaining accurate records.
•Restore outages in a safe and timely manner while communicating effectively with internal/external stakeholders and providing mentoring and informal coaching for DSOS I.

Key Requirements

•High School Diploma (or equivalent) required.
•5+ years directly relevant experience in distribution systems, electric operations/construction, journeyman-level electrician work, or dispatch experience (without a Bachelor’s degree).
•Bachelor of Science in a technical discipline preferred; 3+ years of other relevant experience may be considered with the Bachelor’s.
•Pass the SO/PD II Test (required).
•Working knowledge of electrical distribution system design and operations, plus strong troubleshooting, organizational, communication, and human-relation skills.
