Key Responsibilities

  • •Recognize, analyze, and resolve complex anomalies on the electric distribution system using information from electronic systems, operating manuals, customer calls, and field workers.
  • •Exercise jurisdictional/functional authority and issue and monitor Workmen's Protection Assurance for the electric distribution system.
  • •Dispatch and direct field personnel during electric distribution system emergencies and supervise field activities to ensure safe, efficient, reliable operations.
  • •Coordinate maintenance and restoration activities for subtransmission and distribution systems, including writing and dispatching switching orders and maintaining accurate records.
  • •Restore outages in a safe and timely manner while communicating effectively with internal/external stakeholders and providing mentoring and informal coaching for DSOS I.

Key Requirements

  • •High School Diploma (or equivalent) required.
  • •5+ years directly relevant experience in distribution systems, electric operations/construction, journeyman-level electrician work, or dispatch experience (without a Bachelor’s degree).
  • •Bachelor of Science in a technical discipline preferred; 3+ years of other relevant experience may be considered with the Bachelor’s.
  • •Pass the SO/PD II Test (required).
  • •Working knowledge of electrical distribution system design and operations, plus strong troubleshooting, organizational, communication, and human-relation skills.
