Key Responsibilities

  • •Assist with construction, startup, and commissioning as assigned by site management.
  • •Perform shift operations and maintenance, including startup and shutdown of utility systems and ancillary equipment.
  • •Conduct multiple rounds per shift to inspect equipment, ensure systems are functional, collect/log performance data, and communicate operational problems.
  • •Perform water chemistry testing and make adjustments to optimize efficiency; monitor and replenish consumables inventories.
  • •Carry out preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance; perform electrical switching and lock-out/tag-out (LOTO) in accordance with approved procedures.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma or GED and at least 5 years of power plant operations and maintenance experience.
  • •Knowledge of utility plant mechanical and electrical equipment, including gas turbines, HRSGs, motors, pumps, cooling towers, chillers, chemical handling, water treatment, and pollution control equipment.
  • •Experience with natural gas fired combustion turbines and HRSGs, plus electrical systems and emissions control systems.
  • •Knowledge of power plant safety/policies, including chemical handling, energy systems, confined spaces, fire suppression, and first aid.
  • •Ability to troubleshoot and correct mechanical and electrical problems, maintain equipment, and use/understand fundamentals related to AC/DC electrical theory and related engineering concepts.
