Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Protection & Control engineers and technical specialists.
  • •Develop, refine, and optimize Protection & Control solutions including line diagrams, schematic diagrams, relay settings, SCADA topology diagrams, wiring diagrams, and design specifications.
  • •Serve as an Owner’s Engineer to review and comment on supplier designs and calculations on behalf of HV clients, including BESS and renewables projects.
  • •Conduct Protection Coordination Studies and settings calculations using ETAP or similar software (desired).
  • •Ensure compliance with AECOM and client design management processes and relevant codes/standards, and support project/client meetings, technical reports, and bids.

Key Requirements

  • •Master of Engineering degree (or equivalent) in an appropriate engineering discipline from an accredited college or university.
  • •HV Plant Design for EHV Grid Substations experience is mandatory.
  • •Experience in P&C FEED or detailed design of high voltage installations (132kV to 400kV).
  • •Experience preparing Substation Protection and Control Scheme drawings and relay coordination/settings, including SCADA and communication protocols (preferred).
  • •Chartered Engineer (CEng) or Professional Engineer (PE) license (or equivalent) in the relevant field (license example provided).
